Rudy Galdonik - Humorist, Author of "Take Heart"
Rudy Wilson Galdonik’s been hailed as the Erma Bombeck for the 21st century. She has gone from a pew warmer to someone who sees God in the everyday details of life. A lifelong heart patient with $40,000 worth of “stuff” in her chest keeping her alive and widowed at the age of 42, Rudy has learned to lean on and trust God even when things don't make sense.
A gifted storyteller, Rudy blends scriptural truth with everyday tips and techniques to open up new love relationships with Jesus Christ. She uses humor to encourage women to see today’s challenges as tomorrow’s credentials and to step out in faith to be all they were meant to be.
Rudy was such a treasure to us at Bethany Covenant Church (Bedford, NH) when she spoke at our winter women's retreat in 2011. She received rave reviews! Rudy weaves together stories from her life with lessons from scripture and the stories are so incredible, they inspire women to believe, to have faith, to push through hard times and to let go of their fears of what might happen if they open themselves up to what God can do when we get out of His way. What God has done for Rudy and her family and the miracles that have gotten them through some pretty trying times gives every woman courage to face her own fears and life issues. Rudy is very funny and down-to-earth and this opens women up to the hope she offers to anyone who has ever struggled with fear. I will always remember her stories and think about them when I have daunting situations to face. Rudy made our retreat so very special and I would recommend her to any church or women's group looking to challenge and inspire the women at their events.
